Roch Turner, PhD, EdD, MPA, MSEd

Dr. Roch Turner is an education practitioner, researcher, and public speaker. He holds a PhD in International Education, EdD in Educational Leadership, MPA in Education Policy, and MSEd in Special Education. Dr. Turner has written in the areas of civic engagement, the community college, cultural competencies, teacher efficacy, behavior interventions, and post-secondary attainment. His research agenda includes student behavior interventions and post-secondary access/attainment. Over the course of his career, he has served as an intelligence analyst in the United States Navy, owned a small business, worked as a college administrator, taught at all levels of higher education and as a classroom teacher in k-12 settings. 

Dr. Turner advocates for positive behavior interventions and meaningful post-secondary pathways for all students. He is currently the lead researcher and Executive Director for the Rocky Mountain Behavior Institute, an organization on the forefront of translational research in student behavior interventions, and the Executive Director of the Montana College Attainment Network (MCAN) working to improve college access and completion in the state of Montana.

I am deeply committed to the educational process and helping both students and teachers. I approach my research and practice as a mentor once put it to me, student first one by one. Taking a whole-student approach to education is an ethical imperative for us all.
